West Ham United forward Mohammed Kudus has said that Liverpool player Virgil Van Dijk is the most difficult defender he has encountered in his footballing career.

According to him, Van Dijk’s excellent defensive prowess makes it tough for him to make inroads whenever he plays against Liverpool.

The Black Stars attacker hailed Van Dijk for his outstanding defensive skills that set him apart.

During a question-and-answer session with Black Queens forward Freda Ayisi, the West Ham attacker also chose Lionel Messi as the best player over Cristiano Ronaldo.

Kudus has been struggling in the 2024/2025 season, with his last goal coming in December 2024 during West Ham’s 1-1 draw against Brighton at the London Stadium, leaving his Premier League tally at just three goals in 20 appearances.
