West Ham midfielder, Mohammed Kudus, who dominated take-on statistics last season, is noticeably absent from the top rankings of Europe’s most successful dribblers this term.
The 24-year-old made history in the 2023/24 season as the first player in Europe’s top five leagues to complete over 100 dribbles, establishing himself as one of Africa’s most exciting young talents.
However, Kudus has struggled in his second season, enduring a difficult 2024/25 campaign. The Ghanaian has managed just three goals in 19 Premier League appearances, falling short of last season’s impressive form.
His struggles have also impacted his dribbling numbers, causing him to miss out on the rankings for players with the highest take-on success rates in Europe’s top five leagues.
Bayern Munich’s Michael Olise has taken the top spot, boasting the best dribble success rate among players who have attempted 50 or more take-ons this season.
Olise has completed 41 of his 68 attempted take-ons, recording a success rate of 60.29%.
Algerian and Wolves full-back, Rayan Aït-Nouri, ranks second, completing 60% of his 60 attempted dribbles, while Rayo Vallecano defender, Andrei Rațiu, sits third with a 58.2% success rate from 67 take-ons.
Sevilla’s Chidera Ejuke follows in fourth place with a 58% success rate from 62 dribbles, while Manchester City’s Jérémy Doku rounds up the top five, completing 57% of his 72 attempted take-ons.
