Former Arsenal midfielder Adrian Clarke has put forward a bold suggestion for how the club could fill the void left by Bukayo Saka’s injury, with Ghanaian international Mohammed Kudus being the ideal candidate to step into the role.

Saka was forced off with an injury during Arsenal’s 5-1 victory over Crystal Palace on Saturday, December 21, 2024.

The England winger limped off in the first half and was later seen leaving Selhurst Park on crutches, with reports indicating he could be sidelined for several weeks.

With forward Raheem Sterling also out due to an injury sustained in training, Arsenal now faces a shortage on the wings.

This has led Clarke to suggest that the Gunners should make a move for Kudus, who he believes could be the perfect replacement for Saka.

Speaking in an interview with talkSPORT, Clarke said, “Kudus is a player Arsenal have shown long-term interest in. He’s an ideal replacement for Bukayo Saka and can contribute up front as well. He’s a brilliant dribbler and a wonderful ball carrier. Could Arsenal test West Ham’s resolve with a bid this month?”

Since arriving in England, Kudus, 24, has made 61 appearances for West Ham, scoring 17 goals.

His impressive performances have caught the eye of several top clubs, all vying for his signature.
