Ghanaian attacker, Mohammed Kudus, is awaiting a tribunal decision on a possible six-game ban after a recent red card against Tottenham.

The West Ham forward’s fiery encounter saw him sent off after clashing with multiple Spurs players, including Mickey van de Ven, sparking a confrontation that escalated into several on-field altercations.

Initially, he received a yellow card, but a VAR review upgraded it to a red, forcing him to miss the match against Manchester United, which West Ham surprisingly won 2-1.

Kudus was originally given a three-match ban, but former referee Mike Dean suggested he could face an extended six-game suspension.

The FA then charged Kudus with an additional offence, claiming “improper conduct” during the clash, which West Ham has appealed.

The club hopes to resolve the matter before their upcoming fixture against Nottingham Forest.

West Ham plans to present evidence, including details of what triggered Kudus during the exchange, to support their appeal.

Kudus’ suspension, if extended, would mean he would miss additional matches against Newcastle, Arsenal, and Leicester following the November 2024 international break, potentially sidelining him until their December 9, 2024, home game against Wolves.

Manager Julen Lopetegui, who has previously clashed with Kudus, commented that the player needs to control his temper on the field.

However, former West Ham coach Kevin Nolan believes Kudus has been misunderstood, implying that he brings an essential intensity to the squad.

The club and fans alike await the FA’s final decision on the appeal.
