The Black Stars held their first training session on Monday evening at the Accra Sports Stadium, beginning preparations for the final round of qualifiers for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.

This session saw the presence of eight players, including deputy captain Mohammed Kudus, who remains one of the team’s most prominent players and a vital asset as the squad gears up for their crucial matches.

Alongside Kudus, the session included a mix of international and local players such as Gideon Mensah, Elisha Owusu, Osman Bukari, and goalkeeper Joseph Wollacott, as well as three Ghana Premier League talents—Emmanuel Antwi, Razak Simpson, and Isaac Afful.

Their involvement highlights the blend of experience and emerging talent within the squad as they prepare for high-stakes games.

The team expects additional players to arrive in camp by Monday night and Tuesday morning, ensuring a full squad for the subsequent training sessions.

Coach Otto Addo and his technical team will oversee another training session on Tuesday before the squad departs for Luanda on Wednesday.

The game against Angola, scheduled for Friday, November 15, will be pivotal in solidifying Ghana’s chances of qualifying for the 2025 AFCON in Morocco.

After the Angola match, the Black Stars will return to Ghana to face Niger in their final Group F qualifier on Monday, November 18.
