Egyptian superstar Mohamed Salah

Egyptian superstar Mohamed Salah has extended his contract with English side, Liverpool.

Salah, who is on course to become a club legend, has signed a new two-year deal with the Reds, keeping him at the club until 2027.

Speaking to the club’s media, he shared a message with the fans, expressing his delight at continuing with Liverpool.

“I would like to say to them, I am very, very happy to be here. It’s great to be here for another two years. So I’m happy to sign a new contract,” he said.

His new deal means Salah will spend a decade with the club after joining Liverpool in 2017.

Reflecting on his eight years at the club, he stated that he has experienced the best years of his career at Merseyside.

“It’s great. I had my best years here. I’ve played for eight years; hopefully, it’s going to be 10. I’m enjoying my life here, enjoying my football. I’ve had the best years of my career.”

Since arriving from AS Roma, he has helped Liverpool win seven major titles while scoring 243 goals in 394 appearances.
