Technical Advisor to the Minister of Youth and Sports, Betty Krosbi Mensah, has reaffirmed that the Ministry will not interfere with the Black Stars’ technical team but will fully support the inclusion of any Ghanaian player capable of helping the national team succeed at the upcoming World Cup.

Speaking on Accra 100.5 FM’s sports programme, dubbed Accra Sports, hosted by Jacob Narbi, Krosbi Mensah said the Ministry remains committed to ensuring that all deserving players, whether home-based or abroad, are given the opportunity to serve the nation.

“The Ministry does not interfere with the technical team’s activities.

However, if there is a Ghanaian player anywhere who can help us achieve our target, they must be brought on board,” she emphasised.

Her comments come at a time when several Ghanaian players abroad have expressed their readiness to play for Ghana if called upon.

The statement has been welcomed by many football fans who believe tapping into the global Ghanaian talent pool could boost the team’s chances at the World Cup.

Krosbi Mensah further noted that the Ministry’s priority is to provide full support to the technical team while creating an environment that encourages unity, discipline, and excellence in the national setup.

The Black Stars are expected to begin preparations soon, with the technical team monitoring both local and foreign-based players ahead of the final squad selection.
