In a touching show of gratitude, Midwife Helen Dzameshie of Sekesua in the Upper Manya Krobo District has been recognized for her outstanding commitment to healthcare. The Krobo Support Group presented her with a brand-new motorcycle to aid her work in remote areas.
The honor comes after Helen’s courageous actions on June 19, 2025, when she successfully delivered a baby for a woman in labor on a secluded farm path in Sekesua. With no time to reach a medical facility, Helen’s quick thinking and expertise ensured the safety of both mother and child.
Moved by her dedication, members of the Krobo Support Group rallied to reward her. The gesture not only celebrates Helen’s selfless service but also aims to inspire other public sector workers in Kroboland.
