    María Sol Messi, the sister of Argentine football legend Lionel Messi, has been involved in a serious car accident in Miami, leaving her with multiple injuries, requiring a lengthy recovery period.

    According to reports from Mirror Football, the accident occurred when María Sol lost control of her vehicle and crashed into a wall.

    Emergency services attended to her at the scene before she was taken for medical evaluation. While her injuries are not considered life-threatening, doctors have confirmed they are significant and will demand careful rehabilitation.

    Medical assessments revealed that María Sol suffered fractures to two vertebrae as well as her heel.

    In addition, she sustained burns on one of her wrists as a result of the crash. Sources indicate that she is in stable condition but will need time away from normal activities as she begins her recovery process.

    In the aftermath of the accident, the Messi family has reportedly regrouped in Rosario, Argentina, where they are spending the holiday period together.

    According to reports, the family’s priority is to provide support and ensure María Sol receives the best possible care during her rehabilitation.

    The incident has also led to the postponement of her wedding to Julián “Tuli” Arellano, which had been scheduled for January 3, 2026.

    Arellano, who is a member of the Inter Miami U19 coaching staff, is said to be fully focused on supporting his fiancée through her recovery. No new date has been announced.

    News of the accident has sparked an outpouring of concern and well-wishes from fans worldwide, with many offering messages of support to María Sol and the wider Messi family.
