Popular Ghanaian gospel minister, Diana Hamilton, has addressed rumours surrounding her recent collaboration with Nigerian gospel artiste Mercy Chinwo.

In a recent interview with Graphic Showbiz, Diana Hamilton emphasised that the collaboration with the singer was not motivated by a desire for attention or to boost her career.

She explained that the goal was simply to create a meaningful gospel song that would touch lives and inspire listeners.

“Every song has its own unique purpose and message. I strongly believe that the person I collaborate with must align with that purpose. It’s not just about making music; it’s about touching lives and ministering to people. It’s never about who can bring the most attention or traction to the song,” she said.

Diana also stated that she has always admired Mercy Chinwo’s music and talent.

She added that they had long been discussing the collaboration before making it a reality.

“I would love to collaborate more with other artistes, but I’m not always around. I remember once recording a song that was supposed to feature someone. After recording my part, I sent it to producer Kaywa, but he didn’t like it. I had to fly back from the UK to redo it, and when I did, he loved it, and we produced a masterpiece,” she recalled.

In January 2023, Diana Hamilton featured Mercy Chinwo on her brand new single titled “The Doing of the Lord,” which has since taken over the airwaves.
