Corinthians striker, Memphis Depay has carved his name into the Dutch football history as the all time leading goal scorer.
Memphis surpassed Robin Van Persie with his 51st international goal during a 3-2 victory in the World Cup qualifiers against Lithuania on September 7, 2025.
The 31-year-old forward opened the scoring in the 11th minute with a clinical finish from Cody Gakpo’s cross to mark his record breaking moment at the S Darius and S Girėnas Stadium in Kaunas.
Depay made his Netherlands debut in 2013 against Turkey and scored his first goal against Australia at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
