Three young Ghanaians have achieved an extraordinary milestone in the medical field; becoming doctors before the age of 23.

Dr Erica Pomaa Ntiamoah Mensah entered the medical profession at just 21 years old. A proud old student of Achimota School and the Accra College of Medicine, she distinguished herself early on through her dedication and brilliance.

She is the daughter of Dr Eric Ntiamoah Mensah, the founder of the CPF Medical Unit, a private medical organisation and a renowned advocate for women’s reproductive health.

Another trailblazer, Dr Vanessa Mensah-Kabu, graduated at the age of 22 from Dalian Medical University in the People’s Republic of China.

She is an old student of the Holy Child School in Cape Coast and currently serves as a medical officer with the West African Rescue Association, contributing meaningfully to emergency medical care in the region.

Dr Kwaku Boakye Gyamfi also joined the ranks of young achievers, graduating in September 2023 at age 22 from the School of Medical Sciences at the University of Cape Coast (UCC).

He was honoured as the Best Graduating Student in Surgery.

He is an old student of Prempeh College in the Ashanti Regional Capital, Kumasi.
