Reverend John Ntim Fordjour, the Member of Parliament for Assin South, has recently captured national attention and media headlines, becoming the most talked-about political figure in Ghana.

His sudden surge in popularity follows a bold allegation: Rev Ntim Fordjour claimed that two foreign flights suspiciously landed in Ghana in March 2025, allegedly involved in cocaine trafficking and money laundering activities.

These explosive claims have been strongly denied by the John Mahama-led government, which has urged the MP to cooperate fully with the country’s security agencies as investigations continue.

In a dramatic turn of events on Wednesday, April 9, 2025, around 20 operatives of the National Investigations Bureau (NIB), armed with AK-47s, attempted to arrest Rev. Ntim Fordjour at his residence. The arrest attempt was foiled when members of the Minority Caucus in Parliament, led by their leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin, along with senior figures from the New Patriotic Party (NPP), rushed to his home in solidarity.

Ghanaweb takes a look at the profile Reverend Ntim Fordjour whose popularity has now soared.
