    President John Dramani Mahama’s government is steadily taking shape, ushering in a new chapter with the swearing-in of 11 ministerial appointees, following their successful vetting and approval by Parliament’s Appointments Committee.

    These individuals are poised to begin their official duties on Monday, January 27, 2025, as their appointments represent a crucial step in implementing the president’s vision for national development, sectoral reforms, and a broader vision to reset the country.

    The Member of Parliament of Ajumako-Enyan-Esiam, Dr. Cassiel Ato Baah Forson, is now the Minister of Finance, bringing his expertise to the forefront in managing the nation’s economy.

    The Member of Parliament of Yapei-Kusawgu, John Abdulai Jinapor, will oversee the Ministry of Energy, tasked with driving the government’s energy policies and strategies.

    The Member of Parliament of Bolgatanga East, Dr. Dominic Akuritinga Ayine, as Attorney General and Minister of Justice, will provide legal oversight and ensure justice delivery.

    Other key appointments include, Haruna Iddrisu, Member of Parliament of Tamale Central as Minister of Education; Member of Parliament of Ketu South, Abla Dzifa Gomashie as Minister of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, responsible for revitalising the sector to boost the economy and preserve cultural heritage.

    George Opare Addo has taken the helm as Minister of Youth Development and Empowerment, focusing on youth initiatives and employment; while Emelia Arthur, Member of Parliament of Shama, will serve as the Minister of Fisheries and Aquaculture, entrusted with the sustainable management of the fishing industry.

    Ahmed Ibrahim, Member of Parliament of Banda, will manage the Ministry of Local Government, Chieftaincy, and Religious Affairs; while Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare, Member of Parliament of Techiman North, assumes the role of Minister of Trade, Agribusiness, and Industry, aiming to promote industrial growth and trade opportunities.

    The swift swearing-in of these ministers signifies the president’s commitment to assembling a team capable of delivering transformative policies and addressing the pressing challenges of the nation.

    Here is the full list of ministers who will be reporting to work on January 27, 2025:
