Born on January 18, 1998, in Sant Pere de Vilamajor, Spain, Aitana Bonmatí has built a remarkable football career as one of the finest feminine midfielders.

Aitana’s technical brilliance mixed with her tactical intelligence, and relentless drive gave her a push over her peers with lots of personal and team accolades.

Her greatest achievement is clinching the Ballon d’Or Féminin three years in a row.

At the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris on September 22, 2025, she became the first woman to claim the prestigious award three years in a row (2023, 2024, 2025).

With FC Barcelona Femení, the 27 year old has been a mainstay in their golden era, securing five Liga F titles (2019-20, 2020-21, 2021-22, 2022-23, 2024-25).

She also won the UEFA Women’s Champions League crowns three times (2020-21, 2023-24, 2024-25), four Copa de la Reina titles (2020, 2021, 2022, 2025), and three Supercopa de España Femenina titles (2020, 2023, 2025).

For Spain, Aitana Bonmatí proved instrumental in their 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup triumph, winning the Golden Ball after contributing eight goal involvements (3 goals and 5 assists).

In 2024 she led Spain to their UEFA Women’s Nations League victory and their runner-up finish at the 2025 UEFA Women’s Euro.

Some notable awards in Aitana’s cabinet include 2021-22 Pichichi Trophy, 2023 World Cup MVP, and her five time inclusion in FIFA FIFPro World XI (2021, 2022, 2023, 2024), cementing her as the heartbeat of both club and country women football.
