Rapper Medikal has visited the residence of Sowutuom chief Mantse Nii Osabu Akwei Ofoli to offer condolences on the tragic loss of his son.

This visit comes after a violent clash between two rival groups from Sowutuom and Omanjor on August 30, 2025, which resulted in three deaths and left four people injured.

During the visit, Medikal expressed that the streets of Sowutuom nurtured him and helped shape who he is today. He described Sowutuom as his home and apologized for not returning sooner.

He also revealed that the late son of Mantse Nii Osabu Akwei Ofoli was a close friend, and prior to his death, they had been discussing community development projects.

“We were talking about getting a football field and a basketball pitch in Sowutuom,” Medikal shared, adding that it was heartbreaking that such a tragic event occurred.
