Medeama SC reclaimed top spot in the Premier League with a hard-fought win over Swedru All Blacks, while Hearts of Oak were held to a thrilling draw by Bibiani GoldStars in Accra. Elsewhere, Karela United returned to winning ways with a deserved victory over Bechem United at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium.

Hearts of Oak 2-2 Gold Stars FC

Hearts of Oak and Bibiani GoldStars produced an entertaining four-goal spectacle at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday, playing out a 2–2 draw that kept the Phobians’ unbeaten run intact but saw them slip out of the Premier League’s top four.

The game began at a frenetic pace, with both sides eager to assert early control. Hearts eventually found the breakthrough in the 40th minute.

Mawuli Wayo was rewarded with a goal courtesy of a slight deflection and nestled into the net, giving the hosts a narrow halftime lead.

GoldStars, however, came out rejuvenated after the break and quickly turned the tide. Their talisman, Samuel Attah Kumi, slotted home the equalizer in the 52nd minute after a swift counterattack, then added a second just minutes later to complete a quick-fire double that stunned the home fans.

Hearts of Oak refused to be subdued and rallied with determination. Their persistence paid off in the 70th minute when George Paaku restored parity and set up a tense finale.

The result means Hearts of Oak maintain their unbeaten streak, but will need to address defensive lapses that have cost them valuable points. They next travel to face Basake Holy Stars in their upcoming fixture.

    Karela United 2-0 Bechem United

Karela United produced a confident display to defeat Bechem United 2–0 at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium on Sunday, October 26, 2025, marking their first win in four Premier League matches.

First-half goals from Yahaya Abdul-Rahman and Bless Ege sealed the much-needed victory for the “Pride and Passion,” who looked sharp and determined from the outset.

Abdul-Rahman opened the scoring in the 15th minute after expertly meeting a delightful cross from Ali Alhassan to slot home the opener. The hosts continued to press and were rewarded again just before the break when Ege was brought down inside the box.

The midfielder made no mistake from the spot, powering his penalty past the goalkeeper in the 41st minute to double Karela’s advantage.

The victory lifts Karela United’s spirits as they look to build consistency in the coming weeks. They will, however, face a stern test when they travel to Kumasi to face Asante Kotoko in their next fixture.

Bechem United will return to the Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park, where they hope to bounce back against Nations FC.

Medeama SC 1-0 Swedru All Blacks

Medeama SC battled to a narrow 1–0 victory over Swedru All Blacks on Sunday to return to the summit of the Premier League standings.

In a tightly contested encounter at the TnA Stadium, it took a moment of brilliance from versatile Kamaradini Mamudu to break the deadlock. His well-taken strike in the 74th minute proved decisive, securing all three points for the former champions.

Swedru All Blacks produced a resilient display, frustrating Medeama for large spells and defending with determination. However, the visitors eventually succumbed to sustained pressure in the final quarter of the game as Mamudu’s goal sealed their fate.

The victory sees Medeama reclaim top spot in the league, holding a slender one-point lead over second-placed Aduana FC after matchday seven.

    FC Samartex 2-0 Hohoe United

Benedict Afful and Clinton Kumi scored two quick late goals for FC Samartex 1996 in their  2–0 victory over Hohoe United at the Nsenkyire Sports Arena on Sunday.

The match was a tightly contested affair for long stretches, with both sides cancelling each other out in midfield and struggling to carve out clear-cut chances.

Benedict Afful broke the deadlock in the 88th minute with a composed finish to give Samartex the breakthrough their dominance deserved, before Clinton Kumi sealed the victory a minute into stoppage time, calmly slotting home to complete a well-earned 2–0 triumph.

The result extends Samartex’s unbeaten run in the Premier League and lifts them to fourth place on the league table, underlining their growing reputation as one of the most disciplined and resilient sides in the competition.

    Nations FC 3-2 Eleven Wonders

Emmanuel Annor produced a stunning individual performance, netting a brilliant hat-trick to inspire Nations FC to a thrilling 3–2 victory over Eleven Wonders at the Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports Complex in Abrankese.

Annor opened the scoring in the 17th minute before doubling his tally just six minutes later to put the hosts firmly in control. Frank Awere pulled one back for Eleven Wonders, but Annor completed his hat-trick before halftime to restore Nations’ two-goal cushion.

The visitors refused to back down, and Eden Kofi Asamoah struck in the 75th minute to set up a tense finish, but Nations held on to secure all three points in an entertaining five-goal contest.

The victory marks just Nations FC’s second win of the season, lifting them to 12th place in the league standings, while Eleven Wonders remain bottom of the table, still searching for their first win of the campaign.

    Young Apostles 1-1 Berekum Chelsea

Young Apostles and Berekum Chelsea settled for a 1–1 draw at the Wenchi Sports Complex on Sunday, a result that brought some relief to Chelsea head coach Samuel Boadu after a difficult start to the campaign.

Chelsea opened the scoring midway through the match when a defensive mix-up led to an own goal, handing the visitors a crucial advantage.

However, their lead was short-lived as Huseine Issah restored parity for Young Apostles with a well-taken finish, ensuring both sides shared the points in a lively contest.

While the draw extends Berekum Chelsea’s winless run to four matches, it halts their sequence of defeats and provides coach Samuel Boadu with a measure of respite after a difficult fortnight.

Next up, Young Apostles will travel to face Bibiani GoldStars, while Berekum Chelsea return to the Golden City Park for a crucial home encounter against Vision FC.
