Bibiani Gold Stars are set to appoint former Black Stars assistant coach Maxwell Konadu as head coach after parting ways with their celebrated head coach Stephen Frimpong Manso just months after leading the club’s historic first-ever Ghana Premier League title.
This mutual agreement to part ways was announced on Monday, September 22, 2025, following a humiliating 2-0 home defeat to Algerian powerhouse JS Kabylie in the CAF Champions League preliminary round first leg.
52-year-old Konadu is expected to sign a two-year contract and bring a wealth of top-flight experience from stints at Asante Kotoko, Legon Cities, and Nsoatreman FC.
