Renowned US-based Ghanaian plastic surgeon Dr Michael K. Obeng, famously known as “The Surgeon’s Surgeon”, has revealed that the worst financial decision he ever made was marrying the wrong person.

In a video making waves on social media, the 52-year-old Harvard-trained surgeon, during an interview with an American TikToker, was asked about his regrets in life.

On the worst financial decision he ever made, he stated, “Marriage, actually, marrying the wrong person.”

He advised aspiring entrepreneurs to be certain to marry someone who shared the same faith as them.

“It’s not the right person if you guys don’t share the same faith, period,” he said.

Dr Obeng also shared his inspiring rise from the slums of Ghana to becoming a multi-millionaire Beverly Hills doctor.

He disclosed that he made his first million dollars at 34, with the highest amount he ever made in a year hitting $9 million.

He credited his success to divine guidance, stating, “Without God, I would not be here. From the slums of Ghana. Beyond my wildest dreams, I made it to Beverly Hills to be one of the best plastic surgeons in the world. That’s God.”

Dr Obeng further expressed his desire to be more than just a millionaire, adding, “Of course. I have a lot of billionaire friends, and my goal is to be a billionaire so I can do more.”
