A church service turned into a joyful celebration when a man proposed to his girlfriend on the altar before the congregation.

In a video posted by @israelnse, the man was seen on his knees declaring his love to his startled girlfriend, who had a look on her face that suggested she would reject his proposal.

The man revealed his desire to rule the world with her as he presented his proposal speech and requested her hand in marriage. When the woman accepted his proposal, the congregation immediately celebrated them.

Netizens, however, have had conflicting views on the video, questioning why his partner appeared dissatisfied rather than thrilled.

Some questioned the woman for preferring to embrace the church pastor over her fiancé, while others were astounded by the man’s unexpected declaration, “Let’s rule the world together.”
