Sonia Adesuwa, the ex-wife of Super Eagles player Jude Ighalo, pleads with married couples in Lagos, requesting they wear their wedding rings to quit confusing the unmarried ones.

Sonia took to Instagram, stating that the wedding ring is a public declaration of love and commitment to help singles know you’re off the market.

According to her, the marriage symbol will make it easier for singles and those looking for marital partners to identify themselves and prevent miscommunications.

    She wrote,

“Married people in Lagos, please always wear your wedding rings. They are a symbol of commitment to your significant other and a public statement to total strangers. Stop confusing singles out there. At least make e dey easy for us to know how many of us remain”.

Many confirmed that wearing the wedding ring wouldn’t stop partners from creating misunderstanding among the singles.

    Below are some reactions,

@omoshewa_rhaph Na only for Lagos person go lie say him wife na him pikin nanny😒 Awon onishina 🙄

@mrfynest001 Na dat ring de turn some people on self , just de play

@penniescentspesosnkobo Unfortunately, ring now is just an accessory…It’s a not a foolproof barometer against infidelity….There are some who wear it and do unspeakable things….What matters the most is one’s restraints.
