Popular Ghanaian preacher, Prophet Kumchacha, has called on married couples to desist from entertaining their former partners if they enter into a new marriage.

In a discussion on UTV on January 26, 2025, Kumchacha emphasised that the habit of entertaining ex-partners has the tendency to ruin a marriage since not everyone has the power of self-control.

“As a woman, if you get married, nothing on earth should make you entertain your ex-partner. Even if you both have kids together. Do not allow him to sleep with you.

“If such a thing happens, the man will even think that during your time with him, you were having a relationship with another person. Therefore, he won’t respect you,” he said.

Kumchacha, however, acknowledged women who have self-control and also do not entertain their ex-partners despite their material possessions.

“So far as character is concerned, there is no way you can change. Some women will never entertain their ex-partners even if they have all the wealth in the world. But for some women, immediately they see money, their whole mood changes, and such women are the lazy type,” he added.
