Manchester United are reportedly preparing an ambitious summer move for Nico Williams as they look to strengthen their attacking options.

The Athletic Bilbao winger has emerged as a key target, with reports from Spanish outlet El Nacional suggesting the Red Devils view him as an ideal addition to their frontline ahead of next season.

Williams, 23, has been one of the standout performers for Bilbao in recent years and came close to joining FC Barcelona in the summer of 2025, while also attracting interest from Bayern Munich and other European clubs.

The Spanish international recently committed his long-term future to Athletic Bilbao, signing a contract extension that runs until 2035, with the club reportedly valuing him at over £70 million.

Despite dealing with pubalgia this season, Williams has still managed to contribute four goals and six assists across all competitions, underlining his importance to the team.

He also played a crucial role in helping Spain national team win the UEFA Euro 2024 and is widely expected to be part of their squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
