    A man has stirred conversation on X (Twitter) after revealing why he abruptly ended a relationship a few years ago.

    Sharing in a tweet, he disclosed that during his first visit to his girlfriend’s family, her two elder brothers asked him for money.

    “I ended a relationship a couple of years ago, because the first time I visited her family, her two elder brothers begged me for money.“ He wrote.

    He explained that this request left him uncomfortable and was a major factor in his decision to end the relationship.

    The story resonated with many online, sparking discussions around family and financial boundaries in relationships.

    The majority supported the man’s decision, arguing that such a request so early could signal future entitlement or unhealthy family dynamics.

    While others felt he may have been too quick to judge, suggesting that the brothers could have been in genuine need or were simply unaware of how their actions would be perceived.

    Below are some of the comments;

    “Valid ooo! Apart from becoming the entire family breadwinner, You go just inherit foundational problems way you no plan for!“

    “I wouldn’t blame you. There’s no better sign to tell you the family is shameless.”

    “First impression matters a lot, you will definitely continue had it been you continued with the marriage plan.”

    “I also didn’t consider someone because she told me that all her 4 elder brothers are not doing anything tangible and still live in their father’s house.”
