Manchester City continue to consider Juventus midfielder Douglas Luiz as an option for this month.

Luiz, who plays for the same club as his girlfriend, Alisha Lehmann, has played just 16 times for Juventus this season and could already be on his way out of the club.

He played 204 times for Aston Villa and was previously linked with a move to Arsenal when in the Midlands, though nothing materialised and he remained with the club, helping them qualify for the Champions League.

His summer departure was somewhat a surprise, but Villa replaced with his Amadou Onana.

Luiz could now be in line to return to City, having been on the books at the Etihad between 2017 and 2019 without making a single appearance due to work permit issues.

Pep Guardiola‘s side have struggled in the middle of the park this season amid Rodri‘s injury and Mateo Kovacic having also been sidelined – and Luiz’s arrival would be a boost to their top four hopes.

Meanwhile, Omar Marmoush is expected to land in Manchester today ahead of his City medical after agreeing to join in a £63m deal from Frankfurt.

City captain Kyle Walker is due to finalise his move to AC MILAN, who are also keen on Chelsea’s Joao Felix.

‘Everyone knows that Walker is a great player, he did great things at City,’ Milan’s senior advisor Zlatan Ibrahimovic told DAZN when asked about Walker before Saturday’s defeat by Juventus .

‘When there is someone like him on the market there is a lot of interest. It doesn’t go against our vision, because he is strong, he is a leader, he has dominance in the dressing room. Now we are checking if it is possible.

‘We talk to (manager Sergio) Conceicao every day, to have a dialogue with him and understand what he likes and what he doesn’t like.

‘We know what is needed and now we work. The team is strong. What do we need? In the transfer market, the more I say it, the more it costs, better not to say it.

‘The team, as I said, is already strong. We showed in the Super Cup that it is a team that can win, now we need continuity.’
