Renowned Ghanaian gospel musician Mama Esther has recounted an ordeal she went through in the early stages of her marriage.

In an interview shared on Instagram on September 9, 2025, Mama Esther shared that it took her 10 years to conceive after she lost her first child.

She explained that her inability to give birth for about 10 years after her first birth was after a dream she had, where an individual had taken her womb.

“I had a dream after I lost one of my children. In the dream, I saw that I was in labour and someone was asking me to push my baby out. After I had given birth, I saw the person running away with everything.

“I then asked her to give me my baby, and she laughed at me, saying that I had taken your womb away. And that I won’t give birth again. But I didn’t take it seriously because I had a baby. She noticed the dream was coming through later,” she said.

Mama Esther further narrated how she lost her child, adding that some Ghanaians accused her of tampering with her womb.

According to the gospel musician, it took the grace of God and prayers for her to have another child after 10 years of struggle.

“Some people accused me that after giving birth to two in a span of two years, I went to tamper with my womb. Some even said that I went to change my womb so I can give birth to a lot of children, and that didn’t go in my favour.

I was the only one who lost a child among eleven siblings – Mama Esther recounts

“All these rumours happened after I had lost one of my children. The hard part was that it took me 10 years to conceive. But it took the grace of God for me to have another child after constant prayers,” she added.
