President of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama, is expected in the Volta Region today, January 24, 2025.

This is part of his nationwide thank-you tour to express his gratitude to the people of Ghana for reposing their confidence in him.

The President is expected, as part of his visit to the Volta Region, to meet stakeholders including chiefs, queen mothers, and labour union heads, among others.

John Dramani Mahama won the 2024 elections convincingly.

He beat the governing New Patriotic Party with a 57% win in the election, which was said to be between the people of Ghana and the NPP.

This is his second term in office as president and has started well so far, considering his decision to stick to promises made during the campaign.

The President has, after 14 days in office, appointed his cabinet pending Parliamentary approval to help him start taking decision that will change the trajectory of the country.
