The New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential candidate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has taken a jab at his main contender for the 2024 presidential election, former President John Dramani Mahama, over his response to 50 questions Dr. Bawumia posed to him.

Speaking at a recent campaign event, Dr. Bawumia said the National Democratic Congress (NDC) presidential candidate repeatedly claims to have outperformed the Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo government, yet cannot point to a single policy measure he implemented for the benefit of Ghanaians.

The NPP flagbearer, who also serves as the Vice President of Ghana, added that he has challenged the former president to either list his achievements or face him in a debate, but claims Mahama continues to evade the challenge.

“I asked the former president to tell us one policy he has implemented to help the people of Ghana. Is it ‘dumsor’ or ‘akonfem’—just one policy—and he couldn’t.

“He says he ‘has worked more than us,’ and I said if he believes he has done more, he should come for a debate. He should come and face me one-on-one, ‘mano a mano,’ but he won’t come.

“He has run away; he is afraid. He has run away like chicks… If you ask me to name the policies I have implemented since becoming Vice President, I would list 33—33 different policies.”
