Singer Maddy Maznaz has praised John Dramani Mahama, leader of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the 6th President of Ghana’s Fourth Republic, as a father of all.

She explained she knew this from a kind gesture by Mahama after he was declared president-elect on December 10, 2024.

“When Mahama won, he started doing acts of kindness, and he chose food. A father always loves to feed his children. That’s one of the projects [dear to] my heart. So when I saw him do that, I said, ‘Wow! That’s a father of all’. That’s what came into his heart. The evidence is just so clear,” Maddy said.

She spoke to Prince Benjamin (PB) on Accra 100.5 FM’s Entertainment Capital.

The Till the Morning Comes singer noted her parents were both royals. In fact, she said her father was the Mankato and President of the Ningo Prampram traditional areas. She added that he spoke highly of Mahama.

“He’s a good man. He’s a father,” her father once told her.

Maddy Maznaz revealed she had never voted before, and that did not change in the recent election. She said she committed herself to prayer, rather.

“We’re the ones that pray – that is even more vital than going to vote – because we’re praying for God to select the leader that is good for us. So it’s deeper than just the voting,” she posited.

“I knew who was going to win already. So I was just praying for a peaceful [election and] acceptance of the people.”

She emphasised: “I’m happy for President Mahama. He deserves it, and he’s like a father to all, so it’s perfect.”

Considering former President Nana Akufo-Addo’s tenure, she remarked, “There is time for everything. That was his time [when] it was necessary for him to lead us but now it’s time for Mahama to lead us. It’s spiritual and more than we can even imagine.”

Maddy said she felt “good” about reelected President John Dramani Mahama’s second term.

“I feel God is going to use him immensely for our development. The time for him to be there for us is here. I’m just hoping he will be open and avail himself to be used [by God] and not only listen to people but to listen to the voice of God, which is so important for him,” she urged.

Although her father is an avowed NDC supporter, the celebrity stylist said she was apolitical.

Meanwhile, Ooje Mi Aloo (Are You Insulting Me) – performed in the Ga-Dangme language – is Maddy Maznaz’s latest offering, from Bentley Records’ Prestige album housing tracks from Lil Wayne, Rick Ross, The Game, etc.
