A young woman from the UK has gone missing in Sydney after last being seen in the city’s east.
The woman, whose first name is understood to be Courtney, hasn’t been seen or heard from in over a week according to her worried friends.
They grew concerned about the ‘vulnerable’ British woman after she stopped picking up her phone or posting on social media.
Courtney’s friend, Tyler Jackson, who lives in Manchester in the UK, shared a plea for help in a local Bondi Facebook page on Tuesday.
The concerned friend begged locals to get in touch if they have any information on Courtney’s whereabouts.
Ms Jackson believed her friend was last seen around Bondi Junction and it was suggested the young Brit was couch surfing in this area.
Another friend, Leanne Bennett, later added updated information on Courtney’s last known sightings.
‘The last two places she was seen was Balmain last Monday 7th and prior to that she was in Burwood,’ she wrote.
Courtney was reportedly last seen in Bondi Junction over a week ago (pictured)
In the original Facebook post, Ms Jackson said she hopes her friend leaves Australia and returns home to the UK as she is ‘isn’t getting the care she needs over there’.
‘None of us have heard from her for over a week, she doesn’t seem to have a phone and we are so so worried about her,’ she wrote.
‘She was last seen around Bondi Junction, we don’t know where she’s staying at the moment [and] growing increasingly worried as she has no way of contacting anybody.
‘She’s in a very vulnerable position and we just want to get her back safe & sound. Any info will be helpful & so so appreciated.’
It’s understood Courtney has been couch surfing in recent weeks and hasn’t had a fixed address ‘for a long time’.
‘She hasn’t had a fixed address for a long time, she’s been moving around from couch to couch so no utility bills set up at any addresses,’ Ms Jackson wrote.
‘I’ll do what I can with the police.’
Ms Jackson said she had contacted the police about Courtney’s disappearance.
‘She has no fixed abode or known address & they haven’t seen her – she also isn’t in any of the hospitals,’ she said.
Daily Mail Australia has contacted NSW Police in relation to the disappearance.
