Numerous football fans have thronged the premises of the Accra Sports Stadium in their bid to gain early access to the venue.

In a video that has gone viral on social media, many Ghanaians have queued up at the stadium while waiting to be checked by security officials.

Some of the fans are wearing their Black Stars jerseys in blue and white, while others are holding the Ghana flag to rally support behind the team.

A number of people were spotted at the Independence Square, where they were directed to park their vehicles in order to decongest the stadium and prevent any controversy.

Ghana will have to win the game against Mali to enhance their lead at the summit of the table as other nations are gradually closing the gap.

In Group I, Ghana lead with sixteen points after seven games, Comoros are second with fifteen points, Mali are third with fourteen points after eight games, and Mali lie fourth with twelve points.
