Ghanaian actor and filmmaker, Kwadwo Nkansah, popularly known to as Lil Win, was involved in an altercation at the Kejetia Market in Kumasi on July 30, 2025, during a promotional event for his upcoming movie Captain Ibrahim Traoré: The Last African Hero.
LillWin stormed the central business district as part of a publicity drive for the movie, which is scheduled to premiere on August 2, 2025.
The filmmaker, dressed in military uniform, along with some of his cast drew a large crowd as he moved through the market.
As part of the promotion, LilWin stood on top of a vehicle branded with the movie’s poster and began spraying cash into the crowd that had gathered to watch him. The gesture was met with cheers and excitement from patrons at the market.
However, the situation took a different turn when a man climbed onto LilWin’s vehicle from behind in an attempt to snatch the money been sprayed from his hand.
Upset by the man’s behaviour, LilWin reacted by physically attacking him, throwing punches and kicking him in full view of the crowd.
After the brief scuffle, LilWin was seen talking to the man before he was dragged away by an unknown individual.
What started as a peaceful promotional parade descended into chaos, with the crowd growing larger and more disorderly as more money was thrown.
LilWin’s movie, Captain Ibrahim Traoré: The Last African Hero is a tribute to Burkina Faso’s current leader, Ibrahim Traoré.
The film is expected to premiere on August 2 at major cinemas across the country.
