An aspiring NPP youth organizer in Jomoro Constituency of the Western region, Enock Bazeh, has called for unity before and during the election of the party’s presidential candidate in January 2026.

“As the New Patriotic Party (NPP) officially opens nominations for its much-anticipated flagbearership contest, we are reminded once again of our cherished democratic values and the beauty of internal competition. This is a time to showcase the strength of our party’s democratic foundation—not a time for division or hostility”, he advised.

“As an aspiring Constituency Youth Organizer for Jomoro, I feel compelled to add my voice to the growing chorus of party faithful who are calling for maturity, tolerance, and unity throughout this process. We are one great Elephant family, bound by a shared vision for a prosperous Ghana, even if we sometimes support different individuals within the party”, he added.

He advised the rank and file of the party to devoid of insults and personal attacks.

“It is natural—and even healthy—for members to have different preferences when it comes to leadership. Our diverse ideologies and perspectives only make us stronger. But in expressing our support, let us remember that political maturity demands respect for opposing views. Personal attacks, insults, and baseless accusations have no place in the NPP we are building for the future”, he urged.

    He called for issue-based campaign.

“Let us focus our energies on issue-based discussions. Let’s encourage debate on ideas, track records, and visions—not on personalities. After all, when the contest ends, we will all rally behind one leader to continue delivering transformational leadership to the people of Ghana”, he said.

He captioned, “To the candidates and their supporters: lead by example. Let your campaigns be models of decency and discipline. Remember that today’s opponent is tomorrow’s partner in victory. We cannot afford to create wounds that will take years to heal. The NDC is not resting; neither should we allow internal strife to weaken our resolve”.

He ended by stating, “To the youth of Jomoro and across Ghana: this is our time to rise as ambassadors of peace, unity, and purpose within the NPP. Let us show that young people can lead with wisdom, strength, and respect for democratic values.

In conclusion, let us all support the flagbearer race with pride, remembering that no matter the outcome, we remain united under one Elephant family”.
