Ghanaian musician KiDi has urged Ghanaians to properly recognise and celebrate dancer and choreographer Dancegod Lloyd for his huge contributions to the country’s entertainment industry.
In an interview with Kojo Manuel, KiDi emphasised that while artistes often receive most of the spotlight for promoting Ghana internationally, it’s equally important to acknowledge those working behind the scenes, especially dancers like Dancegod Lloyd, who play a vital role in elevating Ghanaian music on the global stage.
“When we are bigging up people that put Ghana on the map, we always big up the artistes, Stonebwoy is doing amazing, Amaarae is doing amazing, Moliy is doing amazing, but let’s not forget Dancegod Lloyd,” he said.
He added, “He is an integral part of the industry. Look at all the songs that have gone beyond the shores of Ghana. if it’s not DWP Academy, it’s Dancegod Lloyd doing something amazing with his crew.”
Dancegod Lloyd has popularised some Ghanaian songs through his dance challenges for tracks like Terminator by King Promise, Lomo Lomo by KiDi featuring Black Sherif, and Likor by KiDi, among others.
