    The Agbogbomefia of Asogli, Togbe Afede XIV, has called for collaboration between the Ho Teaching Hospital (HTH) and the Asogli State to promote medical tour­ism in the country.

    He described the hospital as a strategically located health facility that needing support to position Ghana on the global medical tourism map.

    Togbe Afede said this when the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the HTH, Dr Hintermann K.K. Mbroh, in the company of some directors of the hospital, paid a courtesy call on him yesterday to introduce himself to the Agbogbomefia.

    Togbe Afede pledged Asogli State’s support for the initiative, aiming to attract patients from across Africa and the world to Ho for healthcare.

    He said healthcare delivery was busi­ness and said it was time the Hospital partnered relevant stakeholders to meet the growing demand in the sub-region.

    “We want to see people coming to Ho from all of Africa and the rest of world for healthcare. We want to take care of our countrymen who go to India, South Africa, London, and America for healthcare come to Ho. We will support and collaborate with you,” Togbe Afede said.

    Dr Mbroh on his part, expressed gratitude to the Agbogbomefia for his continued support to the Ho Teaching Hospital and said the facility valued stakeholder input.

    He said the hospital would continue to deliver the best of care to all clients – local and international.

    “We will strive to bring quality, safety, and just culture principle in providing care to our people,” Dr Mbroh added.

    Ho Teaching Hospital is a premier healthcare institution in Ghana dedi­cated to providing high-quality patient care, medical education, and research.

    It provides specialised healthcare services to people in the Volta Region, Oti Region, parts of the Eastern and Greater Accra Regions, and neighbour­ing Togo, Benin and Nigeria.

    The hospital is envisioned as a Medi­cal Tourist destination through provi­sion of Innovative Health Care.

    The facility, situated in the lush and tranquil landscape of the Oxygen City of Ho, is developing innovative well­ness programmes to enhance its health tourism offerings.

    The programmes dubbed: ‘retreats’ will provide unique opportunity for corporate teams and individuals to re­juvenate, refocus, and build resilience in a refreshing, health-conscious environ­ment and a meditation garden.
