Rising Ghanaian Afrobeats artist Leftizzle is proud to announce the release of his highly anticipated debut EP. Leftizzle gained popularity with his viral song “Kiki,” an extremely popular collaboration with Fuse ODG that sparked debates online and inspired viral dance videos.

Drawing inspiration from personal experiences and his beloved Ghanaian culture, this project invites listeners to enjoy the smooth, sensual sound of Leftizzle’s vocals mixed with satisfying instrumentation. By blending Ghanaian and international sounds, Leftizzle creates a unique musical atmosphere that resonates with authenticity and passion.

The EP’s standout track, “Girl Next Door,” was inspired by a memorable night out. “I went to the club one Friday with my team, and there was this girl on the dance floor, capturing everyone’s attention with her moves,” Leftizzle recalls. “When I received the instrumental days later, I couldn’t help but think of her. That memory shaped the song.”

Each track on the EP has a distinct emotional tone, with Leftizzle carefully selecting instruments to evoke warmth and intimacy. His goal is for listeners to experience a range of emotions as they journey through the seven tracks, from joy to introspection.

    Musical influences and cultural roots

Leftizzle’s sound is a rich fusion of influences, drawing from Ghanaian highlife and hiplife legends like E.T. Mensah and Kojo Antwi, as well as international Afrobeats icons such as Fela Kuti and Burna Boy. His music tells stories, much like the artists who have shaped his sound, blending traditional Ghanaian rhythms with modern production. “Their ability to tell stories through music inspired me to infuse cultural elements into my work,” he explains.

Throughout the EP, Leftizzle pays homage to his Ghanaian heritage by incorporating traditional rhythms and instruments, blending them with highlife and Afrobeats. The use of local languages like Twi adds depth to the emotional resonance of his songs, allowing him to reach his audience on a more intimate level.

Following the release of this debut EP, Leftizzle has a lineup of exciting projects on the horizon. Fans can look forward to more collaborations, new music videos, and live performances. “More singles are on the way, and an album will follow soon after,” he reveals, hinting that this is just the beginning of his journey in the global music scene.

    More about Leftizzle

Leftizzle is an emerging Afrobeats artist from Ghana, known for his unique blend of highlife, hiplife, and modern Afrobeats. With his debut EP, he aims to elevate Ghanaian music on the global stage while staying true to his cultural roots. His music reflects his personal experiences, inviting listeners to connect emotionally through rhythm, storytelling, and authenticity.
