A Nigerian lecturer has sparked laughter online after sharing how his students turned up for a class presentation after he instructed them to “dress corporate.”

In the video, many of the students showed up in outfits that looked far from formal. While some paired wrinkled shirts with jeans, others wore slippers, or simply wore a casual shirt and trousers with a belt.

The lecturer, clearly amused and disappointed at the same time, captioned the clip: “Corporate dey cry” noting how absurd and shabby most of the dressing looked.

The clip quickly went viral, drawing plenty of reactions online. Some viewers joked that it must surely be a polytechnic. A few also sympathized, pointing out that it might be what they had they worked with.
