    Brighton and Hove Albion defender Tariq Lamptey and Bournemouth striker Antoine Semenyo were the stars of the weekend among Ghanaian players plying their trade in Europe.

    The duo won man-of-the-match awards in their respective matches in the FA Cup helping Brighton and Bournemouth to progress to the next round.

    Meanwhile, Joseph Aidoo, after a long injury layoff, made his debut for Real Valladolid in the La Liga.

    Here is a wrap of performances of Ghanaian players abroad

    ENGLAND

    In the FA Cup, Jordan Ayew played the full throttle for Leicester City as Manchester United eliminated them. The game ended 2-1.

    Brandon Thomas Asante saw 62 minutes of action for Coventry in their 4-1 loss to Ipswich.

    Antoine Semenyo scored for Bournemouth in their 2-0 win over Everton. He was adjudged man of the match for his performance after the game.

    Tariq Lamptey saw 90 minutes of action for Brighton in their 2-1 win over Chelsea. He won the man of the match after the game.

    Kamaldeen Sulemana lasted 86 minutes of action for Southampton as they were eliminated by Burnley in the FA Cup.

    In the Championship, Salis Abdul Samed saw 59 minutes of action for Sunderland in their 2-2 draw against Watford.

    In League One, Tarique Fosu saw 84 minutes of action for Northampton in their 1-0 win over Mansfield.

    In League Two, Albert Adomah saw 25 minutes of action for Walsall in their 2-1 loss to Colchester.

    SPAIN

    In La Liga, Abdul Mumin saw 90 minutes of action for Rayo Vallecano in their 1-0 win over Valladolid.

    Joseph Aidoo made his debut for Valladolid after his long injury lay-off.

    Inaki Williams registered an assist for Athletic Bilbao in their 3-0 win over Girona.

    ITALY

    In Serie A, Ibrahim Sulemana saw 19 minutes of action for Atalanta in their 5-0 win over Verona.

    Caleb Ekuban made a return from injury to feature for Genoa in their 1-1 draw against Torino.

    FRANCE

    In Ligue 1, Andre Ayew climbed off the bench to play 15 minutes for Le Havre in their 2-1 win over Lille.

    Augustine Boakye saw 46 minutes of action for St Etienne in their 2-0 loss to Rennes.

    Ernest Nuamah saw 74 minutes of action for Lyon in their 4-0 win over Reims.

    Ghanaian duo Elisha Owusu and Gideon Mensah were involved in Auxerre in their 2-2 draw against Toulouse.

    In Ligue II, Koffi Kouao was in action for Metz in their 3-1 win over Clermont.

    GERMANY

    In Bundesliga II, Ransford Yeboah Konigsdorffer played 24 minutes for Hamburger in their 2-1 win over Preussen Munster.

    Christopher Antwi-Adjei saw 10 minutes of action for Schalke in their 1-0 loss to FC Koln.

    ALBANIA

    Razak Abalora was in post for AF Elbasani in their 2-1 loss to Egnatia.

    AUSTRIA

    Emmanuel Agyeman saw 21 minutes of action for Wolfsberger AC in their 3-1 win over SK Rapid.

    Edmund Baidoo were in action for Salzburg against A. Klagenfurt which ended in a draw.

    BELGIUM

    Ghanaian duo Lawrence Agyekum and Francis Abu were involved in Cercle Brugge in their 2-1 loss to Genk.

    Christopher Bonsu Baah saw 23 minutes of action for Genk.

    Mohammed Fuseini scored for Royale Union SG in their 2-1 win over Kortrijk.

    Raymond Anokye Asante saw 18 minutes of action for Charleroi in their 1-1 draw against Beerschot.

    CZECH

    Prince Kwabena Adu scored for Plzen in their 3-2 win over Liberec.

    Benjamin Nyarko saw 64 minutes of action for Liberec.

    Patrick Kpozo was in action for Ostrava in their 1-0 win over Sigma Olomouc.

    GREECE

    Abdul Rahman Baba saw 90 minutes of action for PAOK in their 5-0 win over OFI Crete.

    ISRAEL

    Patrick Twumasi saw 34 minutes of action for Beitar Jerusalem against Hapoel Hadera which ended in a draw.

    Ghanaian duo Matthew Cudjoe and Barnes Osei were involved in Sakhnin in their 2-0 win over Maccabi Bnei Raina.

    Ghanaian duo Eugene Ansah and Ebenezer Mamatah were in action for SC Ashdod in their 2-0 loss to H.Beer Sheva.

    MALTA

    Ghanaian trio Prince Afriyie, Joshua Agyemang and James Arthur were involved in Mosta FC’s 2-0 loss to Birkirkara.

    PORTUGAL

    Lawrence Ofori saw 90 minutes of action for Moreirense in their 3-2 loss to Benfica.

    SAUDI ARABIA

    Bernard Mensah saw 90 minutes of action for Al Riyadh in their 3-2 loss to Al Kholood.

    SERBIA

    Ebenezer Annan saw 90 minutes of action for Crvena Zvezda in their 6-0 win over Radnicki 1923.

    Ibrahim Zubairu saw 90 minutes of action for Partizan against Vojvodina.

    Richardson Denzell was in action for Jedinstvo UB in their 1-0 loss to Novi Pazar.

    Ghanaian duo Edmund Addo and Samuel Owusu were involved in OFK Beograd’s 2-0 loss to Napredak.

    Ibrahim Tanko saw 11 minutes of action for Radnicki Nis in their 3-0 win over IMT Novi Beograd.

    Kwaku Osei saw 13 minutes of action for Spartak Subotica against Zeleznicar Pancevo which ended in a draw.

    Abdul Yusif came on as a substitute for Zeleznicar in the game.

    Kelvin Ofori saw 66 minutes of action for Spartak Trnava in their 4-1 win over Banska Bystrica.

    Samuel Gidi saw 90 minutes of action for Zilina in their 2-0 loss to Kosice.

    SWITZERLAND

    In the Swiss Super League, Kasim Adams was in action for Servette in their 2-1 win over Basel.

    Jonas Adjetey was involved in action for Basel in the game.

    Lawrence Ati Zigi and Stephan Ambrosius were involved in St.Gallen’s 2-1 win over FC Zurich.

    TURKEY

    In the SuperLig, Kingsley Schindler saw 18 minutes of action for Samsunspor in their 2-0 win over Hatayspor.

    Ghanaian duo Yaw Ackah and Joseph Attamah were involved in Kayserispor in their 3-2 win over Konyaspor.

    Emmanuel Boateng was involved in the game for Konyaspor.

    Nicholas Opoku made a brief appearance for Kasimpasa in their 3-2 win over Rizespor.

    Jerome Opoku played 90 minutes for Basaksehir against Antalyaspor which ended in a draw.

    Kwasi Wriedt scored for Sanliurfaspor in their 3-2 defeat to Bandirmaspor.
