Former Big Brother Naija Season 4 housemate, Natacha Akide, popularly known as Tacha, has advised women against committing themselves to only one man while dating.

Speaking on the Outside The Box podcast, Tacha said women should keep at least three boyfriends, though she clarified that her advice was not about being intimate with all of them.

I will marry again but at my own pace, it’s my baby making era – MzGee

“I tell girls, don’t be out there dating just one man, and I’m still saying it outrightly, you need at least three boyfriends in your life. I’m not saying sleep with all of them, but at least be talking to other people. Because even that one person you think you have…they say the heart of a man is what? Wicked. So you just never really know,” she said.

Tacha also spoke about the double standards women face in society when it comes to age and relationships.

She argued that women are often judged harshly once they reach certain ages, while men are not subjected to the same restrictions.

“People try to put the whole age banter, if a lady is 30, she can’t do this, if she’s 35 or even 25, there are all sorts of expectations. But you don’t see people doing the same for men. The kind of grace that guys have is not the same kind of grace that we women have,” she stated.

She further explained that women should consider themselves single until they are married, no matter how many men they are dating.

According to the reality TV star, it makes no sense for a woman to tie herself down when men often make quicker decisions about marriage.

“Every girl should be single until she’s actually married. It doesn’t matter if you’re in one relationship, two, or three. Because with men, it’s easier for them to meet a girl and in two weeks decide they want to get married. But a girl can’t meet a guy and in two weeks say the same.

“So at the end of the day, it doesn’t make sense to tie yourself down to just one man. Let’s say you’re meeting other people and you’re telling them, ‘Oh, I’m in a relationship, I can’t date you’, that limits your options,” Tacha added.
