The Minister of Labour, Job and Employment, Emmanuel Kwadwo Agyekum, has pledged urgent action to address staffing and operational challenges confronting the National Labour Commission (NLC).
The commission, which has fewer than 50 employees against an approved staff strength of 147, is struggling to discharge its mandate effectively, particularly in the resolution of industrial disputes.
Mr Agyekum made the pledge in Accra yesterday during a meeting with officials of the commission to assess its operational challenges and discuss measures to improve its effectiveness. Read More
