Berekum Chelsea have long earned a reputation as a breeding ground for top talents in Ghanaian football. They have produced some of the finest players in the domestic league, including Stephen Amankona, who cemented his status by winning back-to-back GPL Goal King titles.

As the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season kicks off, head coach Samuel Boadu will once again have two rising stars at his disposal, both tipped to light up the league.

Kwesi Sorotu Badori – The midfield dynamo

At just 17 years old, Sorotu has already established himself as one of the most exciting young midfielders in Ghana. Last season, he started 28 of Chelsea’s 34 matches, impressing with his dynamism, tireless energy, and defensive intelligence.

His style of play, built on power, precision, and drive has drawn early comparisons to Ghana legend Michael Essien.

Despite interest from multiple clubs on the continent, Sorotu has committed to another season in Berekum, determined to continue his development and help his club in the upcoming Ghana Premier League season.

Vincent Adjei – The “Little Magician”

Another jewel unearthed by Chelsea’s scouting team is Vincent Adjei, a left-footed inverted winger whose flair and creativity have already earned him the nickname, “The Little Magician.”

The 17-year-old is often compared to the late Christian Atsu, Adjei can operate both as a winger and an attacking midfielder, dazzling fans with his dribbling and eye for goal.

With Lionel Messi and Mohamed Salah as his role models, the teenager has set a big target for himself: to hit double figures in both goals and assists this season and to one day become the youngest Ghanaian to feature in the FIFA World Cup.

    The bigger picture

With Sorotu anchoring the midfield and Adjei bringing magic to the attack, Berekum Chelsea have every reason to aim higher than last season’s 12th-place finish.

For a club with a proud tradition of nurturing stars, the 2025/26 campaign could mark the start of another golden chapter.
