Ghanaian heavyweights Kwesi Arthur and King Promise have joined forces on “Real Thing”, a powerful new single blending the rhythmic flair of amapiano with the melodic undertones of highlife, wrapped in rich, synth-driven production.

Crafted by fast-rising producer Hylander, “Real Thing” showcases the dynamic synergy between two of West Africa’s most influential voices. King Promise opens with a smooth pre-hook and reflective verse, setting the tone with vulnerability and intent. Kwesi Arthur delivers a gripping chorus, anchoring the record with his signature grit and emotional depth.

The song’s creation is a story of persistence. A scheduled session at Small World Records in Accra was halted by a power outage. Refusing to lose momentum, the team regrouped at 5 Star’s home studio, only to face neighborhood noise complaints. When power returned and studio space opened up, they completed the record at Killbeatz’s studio, a process that reflects the very essence of the track: resilience, loyalty, and brotherhood.

“Real Thing” isn’t just a collaboration, it’s a cultural statement. It captures the pulse of modern Ghanaian music while honoring the roots that raised it. Through synth textures, amapiano drums, and heartfelt delivery, the track reflects the sound of a new generation grounded in West African excellence.

Now available on all streaming platforms, the single is accompanied by a vibrant music video celebrating the community, spirit, and drive behind the song.

Stream “Real Thing” now and witness the evolution of West African sound.
