Kwesi Afreh Biney has been named the new Director-General of the Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT) by President John Mahama.

Adam Sulley has been appointed Deputy Director-General, responsible for Operations and Benefits.

These appointments were made following the revocation of Kofi Bosompem Osafo-Maafo’s role as SSNIT Director-General.

His three subordinates have all had their contracts being terminated, according to a report by citinewsroom.com.

    The affected deputies are:

Kwame Adu-Darkwa, the Finance and Administration Deputy Director-General

Juliana Kpedekpo, Operations and Benefits Deputy Director-General

Serwah, Nana Investment and Development Deputy Director-General Bonsu Amoako

This is SSNIT’s most recent change in leadership. Dr. John Ofori Tenkorang was fired by then-President Nana Akufo-Addo in April 2024, and Osafo-Maafo took his place.
