Ghanaian musician Mr. Drew has sparked reactions online after engaging in a heated exchange with a fan during an X Space, where he strongly defended his status and insisted that the online user and others should recognise the difference between them in terms of age and financial standing.
In a video clip making rounds online on October 12, 2026, the Case hitmaker was displeased with the manner in which a particular user addressed him during the conversation.

Mr. Drew cautioned the individual against being disrespectful, arguing that he was not on the same level as the fan when it came to age and money.
According to the musician, some people on social media mistakenly believe they are his age mates and can therefore speak to him anyhow.
He insisted that the fan, alongside other online users who engage in similar behaviour, should understand that they do not come close to him financially or age-wise and, consequently, have no moral right to insult him.
“I am not your mate. A lot of people think I am their mate, but I am not your mate. A lot of the boys think they are my age mates. When it comes to money and age, I am not your mate, and you need to put that in your head,” he said.
However, the fan was not impressed by Mr. Drew’s comments and fired back at the musician, describing him as someone who was full of himself.
The X user also questioned the artiste’s position in Ghana’s music industry, arguing that he was not even an A-list musician to be making such claims.
“Let me talk. You are not even an A-list artiste for you to say you are not my mate. Block me,” the netizen retorted.
The exchange further escalated as both parties maintained their positions, with Mr. Drew eventually insulted the X user as “Kwasia” and threatened to block the individual, and a comment that saw the X user being unbothered.
“I am going to block you. Look at this small foolish boy. Some of you are fools? Who do you think you are dealing with?” he added.
The interaction is captured in the video below…
