Black Stars midfielder, Kwasi Sibo made his eighth straight start for Real Oviedo in their hard-earned pulsating 3-3 draw away at Real Sociedad in round 25 clash of the LaLiga.
The 27-year-old started the campaign on a high note but subsequently lost his position and was relegated to the bench. The appointment of new manager Guillermo Almada however, changed everything for the Krofrom-born who has once again become a mainstay in the team.
Sibo, made the starting XI as usual and once again was in the thick of things for the Blues who had to leave it all on the pitch of the Reale Arena to salvage a draw.
He enjoyed 76 minutes of action and received a yellow card in the game before making way for Belgian international Leander Dendoncker.
Real Oviedo surrendered a Federico Viñas’ two-goal lead despite holding on till half-time.
Real Sociedad responded hugely with three goals in the second-half by Duje Ćaleta-Car and a brace from Icelandic international Orri Steinn Óskarsson to complete the comeback, sending the home fans in raptures
But a late leveller by Ivorian defender Eric Bailly rescued the visitors from a defeat which could have easily deepen their woes.
Real Oviedo are still sitting at the foot of the league log with 17 points as Kwesi Sibo will aim at his ninth consecutive start when they host Atletico Madrid next on February 28.
