Sudan coach Kwasi Appiah has assured that he is ready to offer any form of assistance to the Black Stars in their bid to qualify for the 2026 World Cup.

His remarks come after the team failed to qualify for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.

The four-time African champions, after six matches played, recorded three defeats and three draws and finished at the bottom of Group F with three points.

This means for the first time in two decades, the Black Stars will not compete at the tournament, which will be hosted in Morocco next year.

However, with the World Cup qualifiers set to return in March 2025, Appiah, speaking to Asempa FM in an interview, pledged support to ensure the Black Stars qualify for the Mundial.

“If you look at the current players, they are good, so with any form of assistance, I will be there to support and ensure the team qualify because, at the end of the day, it is about Ghana and not anybody,” he said.

After four matches played, Ghana sit 2nd in Group I, tied with nine points with Comoros who lead the log. The Black Stars will face Chad and Madagascar in the next round of the qualifiers.

Meanwhile, Kwasi Appiah has guided the Falcons of Jediane to the top of Group B with 10 points after four matches.
