Head coach of Kwara United, Tunde Sanni Salihu has sent a strong warning to Asante Kotoko ahead of their game in the 2025/2026 CAF Confederation Cup.

The Porcupine Warriors will host Kwara United on Sunday, September 21, 2025, at the Accra Sports Stadium for the first leg of the CAF Confederation Cup preliminary round.

Addressing the press ahead of the first leg, Tunde Sanni said his team is prepared and ready to match Kotoko boot for boot because they are in Ghana to win the game.

Prophet Roja explains why he prayed for Kotoko to lose matches

“We are preparing very well and are confident of beating Kotoko, provided there is fair officiating. Ghana is not the best football nation in Africa, so the fact that Kotoko have national team players in their squad does not put fear in us. We also have national team players, even some on our bench.”

“We want to go far in this competition. This season, we are participating in three trophies, and our target is to win all of them, including the CAF Confederation Cup,” Tunde said.

The head coach wrapped up by urging Nigerian fans in Ghana to turn up in their numbers and show their support.

“Come Sunday, we will match Kotoko boot for boot. I urge all Nigerians in Ghana to come out in huge numbers to support us, we will never disappoint them,” he said in an interview with Kumasi-based Akoma FM.
