Prophet Azuka (L) and Kwaku Bonsam (R)

Traditional priest Kwaku Bonsam has fired back at Prophet Azuka following claims that he was denied the opportunity to shake hands with Otumfuo Osei Tutu II during the late Asantehene’s burial ceremony.

In a recent interview, Kwaku Bonsam alleged that he was deliberately prevented from meeting the Asantehene. The claim quickly gained attention, prompting a mocking response from Prophet Azuka on social media.

Reacting to this, Prophet Azuka ridiculed the traditionalist, stating that the reason he was denied access was because he had lost his spiritual power and was no longer regarded as a legitimate fetish priest.

“I was watching Kwaku Bonsam rant in an interview yesterday that he was denied access to shake Otumfuo. And I find it funny because even a child has been granted access to do that. He was denied access because he is powerless,” Azuka said.

Kwaku Bonsam did not take the comments lightly.

In a heated TikTok live session on September 18, 2025, he unleashed a barrage of insults directed at Prophet Azuka, dismissing his remarks and offering his explanation.

“He is a fool. How can he say that I am now powerless? I was sabotaged and prevented from going to handshake Otumfuo because I am now associated with the NDC. I was an NPP member at first because they demolished my property, which is why I moved to the NDC,” Kwaku Bonsam said.

Kwaku Bonsam went on to issue a stern warning to Prophet Azuka, threatening some repercussions if he continues to make such statements.

“Prophet Azuka, if you repeat this thing. I will deal with you. How can you tell me that I am powerless? Who knows you, you don’t even have a place of your own for your church,” he added.
