The Life Patron of Okwahu United, Daasebre Boateng III, has stated that the club is aiming to return to the Ghana Premier League next season.

According to him, the club’s management is putting measures in place to ensure that the team excel in the ongoing 2025/2026 Division One League.

He noted that the team has shown improvement and expressed hope that they will maintain their form and secure promotion to the top flight.

NSA clarifies misinformation around Nkawkaw Sports Stadium

Speaking in an interview with GhanaWeb Sports at the National Sports Authority (NSA) secretariat in Accra on October 7, 2025, Daasebre Boateng III issued a warning to Ghana Premier League clubs to prepare for their arrival in the 2026/2027 season.

“We are not saying Okwahu United is returning, but what we are saying is Okwahu United is rising.”

“So the other football teams currently in the premiership should take note, we are hopeful that Okwahu United will join the premiership next season. They should know we are coming for the top,” he said.
