The mother of musician Okomfour Kwadee has refuted reports suggesting that she is responsible for her son’s mental health challenges.

She claims that this narrative is being promoted by Hammer Nti, who had been taking care of the musician.

She explained that she had always preferred Kwadee to be under the care of Lord Kenya, who had experienced a similar ordeal and successfully recovered.

However, according to her, Hammer Nti opposed this approach due to his personal interests.

“I met Lord Kenya, and he told me that Kwadee was his friend. He asked if Kwadee had ever gone naked, and I said no. Then Lord Kenya told me that his father had suffered, and so had his wife. He even admitted that, at one point, he had wanted to beat his father.

“He said that when he worked hard, people took the money he earned. He assured me that my son would be fine and prayed for me. I told Hammer that I wanted Lord Kenya to handle my son, but he got angry, so I rescinded my decision and allowed him to take charge.

“I have never been against people helping my son. I could never do that, and this false narrative should not be allowed to persist. If we had entrusted him to Lord Kenya and my son had regained his sanity and become like him, it would have been a great thing. But because of his personal interests, Hammer did not want that.

“They always say that his mother is behind his problems, but that is not true. I would never do that to my son,” she said.
